Offshore Fabrication Supervisor / Wind
Location – Netherlands / Belgium
Contract type – Freelance / Long term – very competitive hourly rates.
Key details – Onshore fabrication yard management, EPCI & Contractor management experience, Steel & ConcreteTeam and expertise for offshore foundations, experience at fabrication yard essential.
My client is a leading developer for both onshore and offshore infrastructure, focusing on technically advanced projects in Europe. They are currently looking to grow their team with an Offshore Fabrication Supervisor – that will take charge of the fabrication of structural and civil/ concrete package onsite.
The ideal candidate will have experience in contractor/fabricator management during the fabrication phase. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a one-of-a-kind multibillion development and manage at yard level the advancement of a major infrastructure/renewables project.
Responsibilities
- Supported by experts in design/documentation, represent the client during fabrication of concrete platforms.
- Supervise contractors & subcontractors in the yard to ensure foundations are delivered on time including required quality & HSE standards.
- Provide feedback, advise and support to the Construction Manager.
- Manage Inspection, Trouble shooting, Test on Completion of the structure.
- Ensure that contractors/sub-contractors work, are in line with agreed design and to required spec/quality.
- Keep Support of all relevant interfaces between Contractors, Sub-Contractors, Contractors QA/QC Representatives, and Designated Authorities.
- Keep and maintain a safe work environment within the team and the contractors/subcontractors on site according to HSE guidelines and local procedures.
Expertise Required
- Civil/Structural or fabrication engineering education with proven experience in concrete fabrication for offshore projects.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in fabrication/manufacture side during assembly phase.
- Previous experience managing contractors or sub-contractors would be an advantage.
- Individual able to recommend preventative HSE actions and drive the necessary implementation on site.
- Ability to work within multidisciplinary teams.
