We are looking for a Legal Trainee in the areas of Commercial Law or Intellectual Property Rights Law to join our fast-growing team, working to decarbonize buildings and construction. You will contribute to our commercial law and intellectual property-related projects. You will focus on operational matters as directed by supervision and legal counsel, and prepare needed inputs to support the projects. The work requires a solid understanding of the underlying Finnish legislation in these areas.
One Click LCA’s innovative carbon accounting and reduction SaaS platform is used in over 140 countries and is growing rapidly. We target construction (where we are the global leader) and manufacturing verticals, responsible for nearly half of global carbon emissions.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position and can be based in Helsinki or performed remotely. The exact working hours can be agreed upon depending on the preferences & availability during the summer and fall semesters. The fixed-term position will conclude at the end of the year.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to the research and prepare summaries in the assigned projects in the areas of commercial law and intellectual property rights.
- Evaluate necessary evidence and proof of compliance or non-compliance.
- Draft letters and support correspondence as requested.
- Otherwise assist in the legal domain projects of the company, as appropriate.
What you need:
- Degree in Law (still studying or recently graduated).
- Being able to analyse various types of evidence from a legal perspective.
- Hands-on approach, readiness to delve into the matters and ability to do analysis.
- Independence, a sense of responsibility and an analytical mind.
- Fluency in English as it is our company’s language.
- Previous work experience related to the position is valued, but not required.
